Chief of Staff

Operations
Remote or SF Bay Area
Full-time

Reports to: CEO

Compensation: Competitive cash + equity

The Mission

Goldbridge is building the financial operating system for the largest asset class in the world – real estate. More than $1T in rent flows through landlord bank accounts annually, with roughly a quarter locked in idle reserves and security deposits – and billions more leaking from unnecessary property expenses. And with $2.5T in real estate loans about to mature in 2027/28, property owners are grasping at straws to boost their income ASAP. Goldbridge solves this problem by creating the first AI-powered banking platform for real estate owners. We are backed by Y Combinator and other world-class investors, and our CEO is a 2x YC founder, former White House advisor, and 100-unit real estate owner/operator who understands this industry deeply. The Work

This is a high-velocity moment for our company: bank diligence, compliance workflows, customer onboarding, partnerships, hiring and rapid growth all happening at once. The Chief of Staff is the CEO's force multiplier. You'll run the operating cadence of the company, keep priorities crisp, and make sure the most important work actually ships. You'll help drive cross-functional execution, chase follow-ups, and remove bottlenecks so the CEO can stay focused on growth velocity, partnerships, product direction, and closing strategic customers. This role is not about "taking notes." It's about driving operational efficiency at the company.

What You'll Focus On

  • Bank + compliance workflows: diligence calls, documentation, tracking requirements, and unblocking stakeholders
  • Customer onboarding support: coordinating KYB readiness, launch timelines, and weekly customer status
  • Partnership execution: keeping external partner threads moving (PMS, banks, vendors) with tight next steps
  • Internal operating cadence: weekly planning, KPI dashboarding, and decision memos
  • Hiring & recruiting ops: pipeline management, scheduling, scorecards, and candidate experience
  • Special projects: high-impact initiatives that don't neatly fit into a single function, owned end-to-end

What You'll Do

  • Help drive cross-functional execution: coordinate Product/Eng, Ops, Compliance, and GTM to hit launch and onboarding timelines
  • Own a single tracker for key company threads (bank launch, design partners, product milestones, hiring) and keep it current
  • Write and maintain crisp internal docs: decision memos, project plans, customer launch plans, KPI updates
  • Communicate with external stakeholders (bank partners, vendors, customers) to keep work moving and unblock decisions
  • Identify bottlenecks early and fix them (process, ownership, escalation, or resourcing)
  • Create leverage: automate recurring workflows, templates, and systems so the team moves faster with less chaos

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-execution environment: startup ops, consulting, investing, banking/fintech ops, product/strategy, or former founder
  • Track record of owning complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end
  • Exceptional organization: you naturally create structure, trackers, and clarity where others see chaos
  • Strong written communication: you can write clear updates, action plans, and decision memos fast
  • Comfort with ambiguity and speed: you don't need perfect information to move a project forward
  • High integrity and discretion (you'll be in sensitive conversations)
  • Ability to be direct, calm, and effective with senior stakeholders (banks, real estate execs, etc.)

Bonus Points (Not Required)

  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking partnerships, compliance, or B2B onboarding (KYB/KYC)
  • Real estate familiarity (PMCs, owners, AppFolio/Yardi, trust accounting, etc.)
  • Experience hiring early-stage teams and running recruiting process
  • Strong quantitative instincts (can build basic KPI dashboards and models)
  • Comfort traveling for key partner/customer meetings

Why This Role Is Special

  • You'll work directly with a CEO who has built and scaled before – and you'll learn fast
  • You'll operate at the center of a category-defining fintech company that's growing rapidly
  • You'll have direct leverage on outcomes: bank launch, customer activation, partnerships, hiring, etc
  • If you perform, this role can grow into a COO / Head of Operations trajectory
