The Mission

Goldbridge is building the financial operating system for the largest asset class in the world – real estate. More than $1T in rent flows through landlord bank accounts annually, with roughly a quarter locked in idle reserves and security deposits – and billions more leaking from unnecessary property expenses. And with $2.5T in real estate loans about to mature in 2027/28, property owners are grasping at straws to boost their income ASAP. Goldbridge solves this problem by creating the first AI-powered banking platform for real estate owners. We are backed by Y Combinator and other world-class investors, and our CEO is a 2x YC founder, former White House advisor, and 100-unit real estate owner/operator who understands this industry deeply. The Work

We're starting with real estate specific deposit accounts + credit cards to replace fragmented banking and payments workflows. We're building bank-grade production systems that handle real money, real customers, and real edge cases – so if you like shipping fast and doing it right (security, auditability, reliability), this is the role.

What You'll Focus On

You'll build and harden the core platform that powers:

  • Onboarding + KYB workflows (entities, beneficial owners, approvals, exception handling)
  • Account provisioning + funds movement (bank partner integrations, transfers, event handling)
  • Ledgering + reconciliation (accurate balances, transaction states, matching, reporting)
  • Card controls + spend workflows (limits, approvals, receipts, allocations, controls)
  • Customer-facing surfaces (admin, reporting packs, activity views, audit trails)

You'll operate close to the metal: product + bank partner + operations + customers. You'll see the real-world messiness early, and you'll build the systems that make it feel effortless.

What You'll Do

  • Ship end-to-end features across backend and product surface area (we'll match scope to your strengths)
  • Build and own reliable integrations with sponsor banks/processors/partners (idempotency, retries, observability, failure handling)
  • Design internal systems with auditability built-in (clear logs, traceability, "who did what, when, and why")
  • Improve reliability and performance: monitoring, alerting, on-call hygiene, and running blameless postmortems when things break
  • Partner tightly with Implementation/Onboarding to eliminate friction and automate the "human middleware"
  • Make pragmatic architecture decisions: "simple now, scalable later" without accruing fatal debt

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years building, shipping and maintaining production software (startup experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong backend fundamentals: APIs, databases, distributed systems, async workflows
  • Comfort with money movement realities: state machines, reconciliation, precision, edge cases
  • High ownership: you can take a problem from messy requirements → shipped solution → monitoring → iteration without needing heavy direction
  • Excellent communication: you can work directly with ops and customers when needed

Bonus Points (Not Required)

  • Fintech experience (banking, payments, cards, KYC/KYB, ledgering)
  • Experience with event-driven systems (queues, pub/sub), idempotency patterns, and workflow engines
  • Security mindset (PII handling, secrets management, access controls, audit logs)
  • Familiarity with TypeScript/React, Kotlin, GCP (or equivalent modern stack)

Why This Role Is Special

  • You'll help define the technical foundation of a category-level company
  • You'll work on systems that touch real money and require real correctness
  • You'll ship fast and see immediate impact on customers and KPIs
  • If you perform, this role can grow into a COO / Head of Operations trajectory
